Hey babes, I really don’t know how to ask for help anymore and I’m tired and ashamed but. I have a dentist appointment today and the mechanic has taken our car but isn’t apparently working on it. Everything is so difficult, I just had my dad’s death anniversary and yesterday was my miscarriage anniversary, and then it’s my birthday in less than a week so..some breathing space to not have to worry about money for just a little while would be so helpful to me and my whole family. My 13 year old enby really needs new pants for winter

watched the strange thing about the johnsons the other day and thought “well that was very well made but it didn’t make much of an impact on me” have since thought about it non stop. not even in an i have interesting thoughts way it just keeps popping into my head like “wasn’t that fucked up.”
i do think the “son abusing the father” angle wasn’t that interesting aside from being something not usually depicted or even considered. i think it would have been more interesting if that line was blurred and there was desire on both sides instead of the son being clearly delusional. however it IS a student film and aster’s become better at portraying complex family dynamics throughout his career. almost wish he’d revisit this and develop it into a slightly different story, would be interesting.

i swear whenever you ask a landlord to do something they’ll be like “my _____ guy isn’t free until x day” firstly why do you have “a guy” for everything secondly find another one?? my curtains fell to pieces weeks ago and the response was “the landlord’s curtain repairer is dealing with a family emergency so isn’t free for a few weeks” and that was apparently a good enough reason to leave me with fucked up curtains.

told a coworker that pre-chemo i’ll dye my hair blue since i’ll need to shave it anyway and found out today he’s been fiending for it ever since. he’s like in his 70s he’s so excited about someone coming into a workplace with blue hair. need to get on with that
